3 Days 2 Nights in Jepara was pretty fruitful. I managed to visit some interesting places and had taken a few pictures. Nothing much worth mentioning. Thinking back, i really regretted not having a proper camera since 2000.
My trip to Paris, London, Taipei and Thailand (i stayed there for 3 years, villages and mountains. So much materials and people to shoot! Argh…)
I love film cameras but film developing cost and scanning to jpeg files put me off. But i love prints. Even now I would like to have a rangefinder to shoot then print A3 and frame it in my room.
My visit to Jepara is mainly for business at the same time I manage to take some shots (all from iPhone 6)
Food was good, especially women you eat with the locals. Most meals were chicken fried or rendang or curry.
People there may look stern, but they will definitely smile back once you smile first.
In Asian countries, always be the one who initiate a smile.
I stayed in Bayfront Villa Jepara, by far the cleanest and best facilitated lodging i’ve stayed.
Stayed in OceanView Residence during December, not very impressed. But these two are considered better hotels in Jepara.
